SCREENINGS & EVALUATIONS
The Pediatric Learning Center, Inc. provides speech-language, occupational, physical and feeding therapy for children from birth to 6 years of age. Our therapists are trained to evaluate and establish individualized goal-oriented therapy programs for your child. We also work closely with your child's existing Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
We offer free consultation screenings for families concerned about their child’s development. These free consultation screenings will allow your family to meet with a developmental specialist to discuss your concerns and primary challenges involving your child. This will also include a review of your child’s medical history. Following your free consultation screening, your child may receive a recommendation for a full evaluation with specialty staff for speech, occupational, physical, and feeding therapy as needed. You may also receive a referral for other programs and services as needed, including the Tennessee Early Intervention System (TEIS).
At the Pediatric Learning Center, Inc., we recognize that standardized tests are only one component of a comprehensive assessment process; therefore, we combine information obtained from standardized assessments with thorough observation, information obtained through play-based interactions, and parent’s concerns and goals for their child to develop a personalized intervention plan to address the child’s individual needs. Our knowledgeable and skilled therapists utilize both play-based and clinician directed activities in order to help each child reach his/her greatest potential.
